Broadsands is a sheltered, south-facing sandy beach on the southern edge of Paignton — one of the most peaceful spots on the English Riviera. Protected by headlands on either side, it’s ideal for families with young children thanks to calm, shallow water and a gently sloping sandy shore. A café and toilets sit at the back of the beach, and there’s a large pay-and-display car park just a short walk away. A seasonal lifeguard service operates during summer, and the beach is a great base for hiring kayaks or paddleboards.
