Oddicombe is a delightfully secluded beach tucked beneath red sandstone cliffs on the northern edge of Torquay. The easiest way down is the Babbacombe Cliff Railway — a Victorian funicular that offers spectacular views over the bay — though a steep footpath is also available. The beach itself is a mix of sand and pebble, with a café, sun lounger hire, and toilets at the base of the cliffs. It’s quieter than the town beaches and has a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere that makes it a favourite with locals.
