Goodrington Sands is one of Torbay’s largest and best-equipped beaches, located in Paignton just south of the town centre. The beach spans nearly a kilometre of golden sand, backed by a boating lake, cafés, and play areas. It’s a firm family favourite — the Splashdown Paignton waterpark is right next door, and the Dartmouth Steam Railway runs along the clifftop above. Lifeguards patrol during the summer season, and there are good facilities including toilets, beach huts, and watersports hire.
