Meadfoot is a long, gently curving pebble-and-sand beach set in a sheltered bay between Torquay harbour and Hope’s Nose. It has a more understated, local feel than the town centre beaches and is beloved by swimmers for its clean, calm water. A café and toilets are available on site, and the beach is backed by woodland walks that lead up to the Ilsham Valley. Dogs are welcome throughout the year, and it’s a great spot for a quieter, more natural seaside experience just minutes from Torquay centre.
