Babbacombe Beach sits at the foot of dramatic red sandstone cliffs and is one of the most scenic spots in Torbay. The beach is small and shingly, reached either by the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway or via a steep wooded footpath. Despite its compact size, it has a café, sun lounger and beach hut hire, and a tranquil atmosphere that draws those looking to escape the busier town beaches. Snorkelling is popular here thanks to the clear water and rocky outcrops around the headlands.
